Katie’s Wontons
2 cups shredded cabbage
1/2 cup shredded carrots
1 1/2 teaspoons sesame oil
1/3 lb ground turkey
1/3 cup green onions, sliced
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger or 1 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh gingerroot
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
1 (12 ounce) package wonton wrappers
1. In a wok or large skillet steam cabbage and carrots.
2. In a small skillet, brown ground turkey until cooked through; drain and add to vegetable mixture.
3. Stir in the green onions, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, salt and pepper.
4. Place about 1 tbsp of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
5. Moisten edges of wonton wrappers with water; fold opposite corners creating a triangle and press edges together to seal.
6. Heat vegetable oil (2 tbsp) in a large skillet.
7. Cook wontons in batches for 1-2 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
8. Add additional oil if needed.
**Try adding 1½ teaspoons toasted sesame seeds to filling.
I found several recipes online and created my own won tons. They turned out really good, so they've made it to the blog.

mmm... those sound amazing. I'm going to have to go get all the ingredients and try them out!
I'm so excited to see all your smiley face recipes. Would you post all your yummy recipes that use dried beans? I see the recipe for Spicy Black Beans but how about red or lima beans?
